Employment History

1991-Present Clinic Director, Annandale Fluency Clinic, College Park, Maryland
Continuing to provide direct diagnostic services to children and adults with fluency, voice, language, and articulation disorders. Employing and supervising full and part-time speech-language pathologists in-house and at contract sites. Training and Supervising Clinical Fellows in Speech-Language Pathology, and graduate student internships.

Senior Staff Speech Pathologist, providing diagnostic and remedial services for children and adults with fluency, voice, language, and articulation disorders.
Supervisor of Off-Site Services – provided liason to physicians, psychologists and staff of The Dominion Hospital. Quality Control of all off-site speech services. CFY supervision and supervision of staff speech-language pathologists performing out-of-clinic contract work.
Developed proficiency in use of CAFET (Computer-Aided /Fluency Establishment Trainer) and CAFET for Kids. Contributor to the CAFET User's Manual.
Assisted in development and testing of the Cafet-for-Kids program, working with the experimental group under the clinic’s NIH development grant.
Developed special expertise in the area of language diagnosis and treatment for learning disabled/emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, and diagnosis and treatment of auditory-based reading disorders.

Particular emphasis on administration of fluency and language therapy. Parental counseling and modeling/play therapy used with dysfluent pre-school children. Delayed auditory feedback therapy used with dysfluent children ages 5-9. Individual, computer-aided fluency program used with adults, and group intensive computer-aided fluency program used with teens and pre-teens.
Provided diagnostic and remedial speech/language services to children at several area private schools, and to emotionally disturbed/learning disabled adolescents and children at the Dominion Hospital.
